Michael Jackness was making "easy" money investing in domains like OnlineDegree.com, Treadmill.com, GunSafe.com etc... and earning passive income with affiliate links until 2012 when Google slapped his websites with (cute but deadly) Penguin then a Panda, sending his sites and revenue into the toilet.
Jackness was faced with a choice...pivot or die.
So he and his business partner scrapped the affiliate model and focused on turning their websites into properties that sold products directly to customers.
In 2013, Jackness, despite knowing jack sh*t about ecommerce:
- Converted Treadmill.com from parked domain to $800,000 in online sales in 1-year, before selling it.
- Launched CuttingBoard.com in 2015, hitting 6-figures in sales.
- Acquired IceWraps.com and put it on pace to do $1-million in 2016.
And their newest project, ColorIt.com, which achieve $1-million in coloring books in the 1st year and on track to double that in 2017.
